Alexandra Fly

 Materials:

1. Tie in a segment of red goose for the tail, oval silver and flat silver tinsel for the rib and body.
2. Form body with flat silver tinsel, then rib with the oval silver tinsel.
3. Select a suitable black hackle, deflue then secure and wind on 4 or 5 turns.
4. Tie in two strips of sword peacock and a narrow strip of red goose on each side of the wing.
5. Whip finish, form a neat head and varnish black to complete the fly.
