Materials:

Hook: Size 10 to 16 Standard

Thread: Black

Body: Black Seals Fur or Sub

Rib: Fine Oval Silver Tinsel or wire

Hackle: Long Fibred Black Cock/Hen

Tying Details:

    1. To start, run the black thread to just before the bend of the hook and tie in the oval silver tinsel or wire.
    2. Dub a rope using the black seals fur or sub, then using touching turns form the body leaving enough room at the eye to attach the hackle and form a head.
    3. Deflue the black hackle and secure it, cut waste. Attach the hackle pliers and palmer the hackle up to the bend, making 4 or 5 turns.
    4. Complete the body by ribbing with the oval silver tinsel, secure and trim off any waste.
    5. Finally form a neat head, whip finish and varnish black.
