Tail: White Marabou Tied Long

Rib: Fine Oval Silver Tinsel

Body: Red Seal Fur or Substitute

Tying Details:

Step 1.

Fix the hook in the vice and run the tying thread on at the eye. Secure a block of ethafoam in place and with scissors shape it into two eyes. Add a drop of superglue to the thread wraps.

Step 2.

When the glue is dry continue the thread down to the bend catching in a long but thin bunch of marabou fibres as a tail. Allow the waste ends to lie along the shank.

Step 3.

At the base of the tail catch in two inches of fine oval tinsel. That done, dub on a pinch of bright red seal fur or a substitute such as Antron.

Step 4.

Twist the seal fur into a thin tapering rope and wind it in touching turns over the shank. Finish the body at the base of the foam eyes.

Step 5.

Finally, take hold of the oval tinsel and wind it over the body in four evenly spaced turns. Cast off the tying thread with a whip finish.
