Silk: Black
Tail: Golden Pheasant Crest Feather
Body: Golden Olive Seal’s Fur
Rib: Gold Oval Tinsel
Hackle: Heavily Palmered Olive Cock with Blue Jay at Head.
Method:
- Run the Black tying silk down to the bend of the hook.
- Tie in the tail and gold oval tinsel. Then make a rope by dubbing the silk with golden olive seal’s fur, run the rope back the eye of the hook to form the body.
- Tie in the olive cock hackle and make as many turns as possible to the hook bend.
- Take the gold oval tinsel and palmer through the hackle up to just behind the eye, secure and trim waste tinsel.
- Secure the blue jay hackle and make two or three touching turns then secure and trim waste.
- Make a neat head, whip finish and varnish.
