Materials:

Hook: U/E sizes 10 to 14

Silk: Brown

Tail: Badger Cock Hackle Fibres

Body: Blue-Grey Rabbit Fur or blue-grey fur substitute

Hackle: Badger Cock

 

Tying Details:

  1. Run the brown tying silk down to the bend of the hook.

  2. Tie in the tail of badger cock hackle fibres. Then make a rope by dubbing the silk with blue-grey rabbit fur, run the rope back to just before the eye of the hook to form the body.

  3. Tie in and make two or three turns of badger cock hackle, then trim any waste.

  4. The final operation is to form a neat head, whip finish and varnish.
