Materials:

Hook: D/E sizes 10 to 14

Silk: Black

Tail: Olive Hackle Fibres

Rib: Oval Gold Tinsel

Body: Black Tying Silk

Hackle: Olive Cock Hackle

Wing: White Duck Quill

Tying Details:

  1. Commence by running the tying silk to the bend of the hook and tie in the olive hackle fibres followed by the oval gold tinsel.
  2. To form the body run the tying silk ¾ of the body length a couple of times finishing at the eye.
  3. Rib the body with the oval gold tinsel secure and trim.
  4. After removing the down, catch in the olive cock hackle and make two or three turns then secure and trim waste.
  5. Secure the wings sloping well back and trim waste.
  6. Make a neat head, whip finish and varnish.
