Silk: Black
Rib: Fine Silver Wire
Body: Black silk floss with collar of neon magenta DF wool at wing root
Throat Hackle: Fibres of crimson dyed cock
Wing: Black Squirrel
Method:
1. To dress, wind black tying silk down the shank to the bend.
- Tie in fine silver wire for ribbing and black floss for the body.
- Wind the black floss two thirds of the distance up the shank and this is followed by the rib and tie in.
- A short collar of neon magenta DF wool is the wound on nearly up to the eye.
- The throat hackle of dyed crimson cock fibres is tied underneath and sloping well back.
- Finally tie in on top of the hook immediately behind the eye a substantial bunch of black squirrel fibres slightly longer than the hook and sloping well back.
